Certificate inspection services are available to subscribers and non-subscribers. The inspection is performed solely by SPIB staff who inspect the lumber for grade and then place a grade-mark or identification number on each piece. A certificate or letter is then issued describing the grade and tally of the lumber. The certificate is financially guaranteed against degrades. An inspection should be scheduled ten or more working days in advance.
Schedule of Charges: Inspection charges are established on the basis of complexity and time required plus expenses. Travel expenses include all reasonable expenses such as transportation, meals, and hotel costs.
