Producers of sawn lumber products who desire to have their plants qualified to receive Bureau services, including the use of SPIB "Grade-Marks" hereafter referred to as "Marks", should notify the Bureau of their specific needs. We will arrange to have an SPIB Supervisor visit the facility to evaluate the mill production and drying facilities (if dry lumber is to be produced).

This evaluation by SPIB staff will provide information to the Bureau and the prospective subscriber as to whether their operation has the equipment and/or personnel to qualify for Bureau grade-marking services. Following a positive evaluation by Bureau staff of the prospective subscriber's facilities, service contracts will be issued and SPIB will begin to provide grade-marking supervision services to the new subscriber.
