| The SPIB Quality Mark |
The SPIB Mark is a widely accepted and well-established symbol of quality in the Southern Yellow Pine Industry both for lumber and treated wood products.
The distinctive mark with its angular SPIB letters has signified voluntary producer adherence to the Bureau's standards of quality for over 5 decades and is widely
recognized and accepted by specifiers, users, and code enforcement personnel. SPIB offers assistance to specifiers, consumers, manufacturers, and building
officials for product re-inspection and product certification services.
Understanding the SPIB Quality Mark
The SPIB Quality Mark must contain the items listed below. This mark assures compliance with standards established by the
American Wood-Preservers' Association.
SPIB Quality Mark Key:

2) Preservative Type
3) Preservative Retention
4) KDAT (if applicable)
5) Material's intended use
