Who Benefits From This Program?
You do if you continuously treat forest products with American Wood-Preservers' Association (AWPA) approved preservatives, conform to AWPA Standard T-1 pressure processes, meet AWPA requirements for preservative penetration and retention, and comply with SPIB procedures. You benefit if you specify treated products bearing the SPIB Quality Mark or if you purchase and use products bearing the SPIB Quality Mark.

What Products Are Covered?
A whole range of southern pine, red pine, and ponderosa pine products! These products, produced by SPIB subscribers, include plywood, boards, dimension lumber, timber, poles, piling, fence posts, and other forest products.

Product usage includes above ground and ground contact conditions as well as for foundation, salt water, and other specific Use Categories as defined in the AWPA Use Category System and SPIB Procedures.
