The Southern Pine Inspection Bureau's (SPIB) Quality Audit Program for producers (see our Roster), specifiers, and users of preservative-treated products is aimed at helping assure quality treatment is maintained in this important market segment for southern pine.

The program's procedures are designed to provide an economically sound and standardized method of treatment, testing, marking and certification of SPIB Quality Marked (Quality Mark) products...in conformance with the American Wood Preserver's Association (AWPA) standards, and major model building code's requirements.

The SPIB Treated Wood Division's inspection service and Quality Assurance Laboratory are accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee, (ALSC).
