The Quality Control Course will benefit both green end and dry end quality control personnel. We will address quality control procedures to be used from the log yard to the planer mill. Green end issues will include areas such as yield studies, size control, optimization parameters, cutting solutions, and operator training. Troubleshooting drying problems, along with tracking and collecting data on drying will be covered. On the dry end, we will discuss manufacture, yield studies, trim studies, and the training and evaluation of graders.
