Any manufacturer of Southern Pine lumber who is a subscriber to the SPIB and is capable of producing Southern Pine glued lumber to conform to the SPIB Glued Lumber Procedures is eligible to be qualified and licensed to use the SPIB grade marks indicating those products meet the requirements of these Procedures.

The SPIB Glued Lumber Procedures may be applied to ALSC-approved species other than Southern Pine. If other ALSC approved species are used to produce glued lumber according to the Procedures all statements regarding Southern Pine shall apply to the alternate species.

Grade marks identifying the appropriate species grouping for the species used in the glued lumber product shall be issued.

In the absence of special contract, exception or specification, Southern Pine glued lumber sold or bought under these SPIB Glued Lumber Procedures shall be subject to provisions included herein and to applicable provisions of SPIB Standard Grading Rules.
