Southern Pine is the dominant wood species used in construction of trusses in the United States.The Southern Pine Inspection Bureau (SPIB) is a non-profit corporation that writes grading rules for Southern Pine and is dedicated to the maintenance of high standards in the Southern Pine lumber industry.

SPIB has developed this component quality audit program (the "Program") to make available to manufacturers of trusses using Southern Pine third party inspection services at their plants in accordance with industry practices and quality control procedures published by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and Truss Plate Institute (TPI).

This service costs $175 per inspection.
